Steel You Can Feel

A Sword Should Feel Right in Your Hand

A photo can show you the shape of a blade, but it cannot tell you how a sword feels. Balance, grip length and weight decide whether a sword feels lively in your hand or like a bar of steel you cannot wait to set down. That is why so many customers stop by the booth first: you can pick up a few, feel where each one balances, and find the one that suits your size and your character.

Whether you want a Viking sword for your Norse kit, a longsword for a knight, or a fantasy blade that finishes a cosplay, the right sword makes the whole costume believable. It changes how you stand, how you walk and how people see your character at the faire.

Tell us what you are building and you will get an honest recommendation, not a sales pitch.

Styles of Swords

Ask about what is on the rack this season, or tell us the style you are hunting for.

Viking Swords

Broad, single-handed blades with the classic Norse hilt, made to pair with your Viking garb.

Longswords

Two-handed reach and a long grip for knights, mercenaries and anyone who wants presence.

Arming Swords

Single-handed knightly blades that sit easily on the hip with a shield or buckler.

Fantasy Swords

Dramatic blades for cosplay, display and characters who were never bound by history.

Scabbards and Frogs

Leather scabbards and sword frogs that hold your blade securely on a belt.

Belts and Baldrics

Leather sword belts and over-the-shoulder baldrics that carry the weight comfortably.

Carry It Right

A Sword Is Only Half the Kit

A sword you cannot carry comfortably ends up leaning against a tree while you walk the faire. The leather that holds it matters as much as the steel. A well-fitted scabbard protects the edge and keeps the blade from rattling, and a sword frog or baldric puts the hilt right where your hand expects it, without the weight dragging your belt down.

Tell us the sword you own or the one you choose here, and the scabbard, frog or belt can be cut to fit it, in leather colors and tooling that match the rest of your armor and garb.

Everything leather is made by hand under the Asgardian Armory name and proudly made in the U.S.A.
